About

Frank began his firm in 1998 after a career in fine men’s specialty store retailing. The style education he was immersed in for over 13 years, before starting his design business, gave him the aesthetic foundation to apply to his interiors. He specializes in highly personalized spaces. Helping clients communicate their own specific design style narrative informs the creative direction of each project. His important task is to interpret this directive and weave it into a home that is unique to them.

To achieve this, it is essential that the ingredients that go into his projects are “one off.”  Almost all of the furniture and furnishings he uses are either vintage or of his own exclusive design. He sources globally to find inspired objects and furniture specifically for his clients. He also has developed a local team of master craftspeople and artisans to construct his pieces. Even going as far to fit clients to his bespoke seating, just as a fine tailor would craft a custom suit to a specific body. Comfort is always paramount. Not one element of his rooms is off the shelf, favoring original and crafted to trendy. The biggest compliment to Frank is that a space still looks current and beautiful years after its installation.

Beyond furniture and furnishings, he offers complete interior architectural services. Creating a room “envelope” perfectly synced with furniture plans makes for a home that functions and flows how clients actually live. Anything from the “studs in” of a home he generates plans, elevations, details and construction documents to realize an inspired space. This work encompasses architectural elements such as kitchens, baths, fireplaces, staircases, lighting, flooring, tile, reflected ceiling plans, finishes, millwork, cabinetry, etc. All lifestyle specifics are considered when laying out the interior architectural package.

Frank has projects regularly featured in the world’s top interior magazines such as:

• Elle Décor US, Germany
• House Beautiful
• House & Garden US, South Africa, Thailand
• Metropolitan Home
• Veranda
• Architectural Digest France, Russia and Germany
• Belle Australia

Early in his career he was awarded the top 25 young designers in America by House Beautiful. Then included in HB’s list of the top designers in the US. Later on, AD France named him as the one of the 70 most influential designers internationally.

He wrote a successful interior design book called The New Bespoke, published by Pointed Leaf Press which is now sold out. It features 160 color images of his work by renowned photographer Eric Roth.
